12. Packing Tape Spirit Sculptures
Packing tape spirit sculptures are an incredibly realistic and cost-effective way to create life-sized, human-shaped ghosts. By wrapping a volunteer or a mannequin in layers of clear plastic wrap and then sealing it with heavy-duty clear packing tape, you can capture incredibly detailed human forms. Once the shell is carefully cut off the form and taped back together, you are left with a hollow, lightweight, and completely transparent human sculpture.
Because these sculptures are entirely hollow and clear, they interact with light in fascinating ways.
