11. Haunting Graveyard Fencing
Every good Halloween display needs a graveyard, and you can build a realistic, gothic wrought-iron fence using black pool noodles. Cut the noodles into equal lengths to serve as the vertical pickets of your fence. To create the decorative, pointed finials at the top of each picket, cut the tips of the noodles into sharp triangles or attach plastic gothic fence toppers. Connect the pickets horizontally using thinner PVC pipes or wooden dowels pushed straight through the sides of the foam.
Spray paint the finished structure with a textured metallic silver or dark grey paint, then lightly sponge on some green and brown paint to simulate rust and moss. Press the ends of the vertical support dowels into your lawn to surround your fake tombstones. This fence looks incredibly heavy and authentic from a distance, but is completely safe, lightweight, and won’t rust or cause injury if stepped on during outdoor games.
