11. Giant Cobweb Front Door
Make a bold, dramatic statement that welcomes guests and trick-or-treaters the moment they arrive with a giant cobweb front door. This decoration is highly visual, taking up a large amount of space for very little cost and effort. Instead of using messy, sticky cotton webbing that can catch on clothing and blow away in the wind, this method uses dark yarn or rope to create a clean, graphic, and highly stylized spiderweb.
Using thick black or white yarn, start by taping or tacking several radial lines from the center of your door out to the edges and corners, forming the “spokes” of the web. Next, tie a long piece of yarn to the center point and begin working your way outward in a spiral, tying a simple knot at each spoke to create the classic concentric rings of a spiderweb. Once the web is complete, attach a giant, fuzzy faux spider near the center. This creates a striking, high-contrast look that is easily visible from the street and simple to pack away for next year.
